Our Mission

Provide a free Christian camp for kids who otherwise could not experience it (3).jpg

Our Story

Our story began long before anyone on our leadership team worked together. For some of us, it began with our individual, unique camp experiences in childhood. We remembered, with fondness, feeling God’s presence, making new friends, and feeling at peace in our home away from home. For others, it began with the opportunity to see our children thrive in that environment and benefit spiritually from those experiences. When our team first came together we discussed these experiences and arrived at one simple conclusion - EVERY kid should have a chance to experience a Christian summer camp regardless of their life circumstances or socioeconomic background. It was out of this conviction and calling that Camp Lighthouse was birthed. Our first summer in 2011 included 15 campers during one week of summer camp. Today, we host 4 weeks of summer camp each year with 130+ campers each summer in addition to retreats with our ministry partners and ministry sponsors.

Since meeting Andrew in college at Clemson University, the couple have spent their summers serving at camp and on the leadership team. They have two awesome kids whose favorite part of camp is “seeing campers!” At camp you will most likely see Allison with a camera and Andrew wrangling their two toddlers!
